Before an intersection, a driver checks the order of priority: controller signals, traffic lights, priority signs and then general rules.
On equal roads, the key rule is priority to the vehicle on the right. It applies only when no other control overrides it.
A left turn requires proper road position, signaling and careful assessment of oncoming traffic.
In practice, we train students to read the whole intersection: lanes, pedestrians, oncoming traffic and whether there is room to clear it safely.
How we train this in class
- break the rule down on a clear diagram
- reinforce it with test questions
- move the situation to a real Dnipro route
